The manga takes place after Sakura graduates from Tomoeda Elementary School, in her first year of junior high school. Sakura had managed to capture all of the Clow Cards which could bring disaster to the world and turned them into her own Sakura Cards. After having a dream with a mysterious cloaked figure, all of Sakura's cards turn blank and are rendered powerless, thus she starts her quest to find out what is wrong.
